Rouge rapper NBA YoungصBoy was released from jail
inص Baton Rouge early Thursday after completing صa 90-day
term a judgeص ordered him to serve following multipleص motions from prosecutors to revoke his
probation in a 2016 nonfatalص shooting caseص, alleging he had violated its
conditions several timesص in recent monthsص NBA Young Boy, whose real
name is KentrellGaulden, was involved in a fatal shootout in Miami this
Mother's Day that resulted in the death of a bystander. That incident
reinvigorated efforts from صBaton Rouge صprosecutors
to get Gaulden behind bars. He's also facingص legal troubles in صother
states, including two arrests out of
Georgia, one involvingص domestic violence allegations Gaulden,
19, was released صfrom East Baton Rouge Parisصh Prison
in the صearly hours of صThursday
morning, accorصding to online jail records His
attorney,ص James Manasseh, said صGaulden
was the target of an صassassination attempt
during the صMiami shootout. Gunmenص opened fire on the rapper and seveصral of his
associates outside the صTrump International Hotel.
Gaulden's girlfriend was shot in the صshoulder.
Legally armed membersص of his entourage returned fire, صkilling a
bystander. Miami-Dade police said no members of theص group will be charged becauseص they acted in self defenseص On June 21, State
District Judge Bonnie صJackson sentenced صGaulden to
90 days in jail and bannedص the rapperص from giving صany
performances for the next 14 months. Gaulden صhad beenص behind صbarsص since May 17 beforeص his release صThursday.
